BizVerity (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting personal data and respecting privacy rights.
This GDPR Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data when you use BizVerity,
including reviews, business profiles, and verification features.

2) Scope
This policy applies to personal data of:
- Visitors to the BizVerity website and apps
- Users who post ratings, reviews, photos, and comments
- Businesses and representatives who create or claim listings
- People who contact BizVerity support
3) What Personal Data We Collect
We may collect:
A) Account and profile data
- Name, username, email, phone number (if provided)
- Password (stored in a hashed form)
B) Review and content data
- Ratings, reviews, photos, comments, and messages you submit
- Any personal data you include in your content (avoid sensitive details in public reviews)
C) Business listing data
- Business name, address, contacts, categories, operating hours
- Representative details when claiming a business profile (name, role, contact info)
D) Verification data (if applicable)
- Documents or details used to verify identity, ownership, registration, or location
- Records of verification checks and outcomes
E) Technical and usage data
- IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies section)
F) Support and communications
- Messages, emails, and attachments you send to us
4) Special Category Data
BizVerity does not require special category data (such as health, religion, political views, biometrics).
If you post such data in reviews, it may become public. We may remove content that violates our rules.
5) Lawful Bases for Processing
We process personal data under one or more of these lawful bases:
- Consent (for optional marketing and certain cookies)
- Contract (to provide accounts, reviews, and business tools)
- Legitimate interests (to keep BizVerity safe, prevent fraud, improve trust signals, and operate the platform)

- Publish reviews and ratings and display credibility information
- Provide verification services and reduce fraud

7) Sharing and Disclosure

- Businesses on the platform: when you review them, your review content and profile display name may be visible

We do not sell personal data.

the UK transfer addendum (where relevant), and additional security measures where needed.

- Reviews: may remain visible to protect platform integrity unless removal is required by law or policy
- Verification data: retained for compliance and fraud prevention, then deleted or anonymized

Retention depends on legal requirements and operational needs.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

BizVerity is not intended for children under 16 in the EEA/UK (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country).
If we learn we collected data from a child without valid consent, we will delete it.

Reviews and ratings may be public. Do not include personal data you do not want published.
